Squat Box – das ist Lärm mit Herzschlag. Drei Menschen aus München, die den Alltag zerlegen und aus dem Rest Musik bauen. Roh, drückend, manchmal verträumt, manchmal kurz vorm Kippen.

Zerrende Gitarren, ein nach vorne schiebender Bass und kompromisslose Drums formen Songs, die sich festbeißen und plötzlich Luft holen, bevor sie explodieren. Grunge, Post-Punk und Alternative treffen aufeinander, ohne sich festlegen zu lassen – getragen von Gefühl statt Genregrenzen.

Entstanden ist Squat Box im Untergrund: in einem Tunnel unter der Stadt. Wände voller Graffiti, abgestandene Luft, der Boden rau und benutzt. Ein Ort, an dem nichts glänzt – perfekt für einen Sound, der keinen Umweg nimmt. DIY von Anfang an, direkt und ungefiltert.

Die Musik funktioniert als Ventil für Druck, Frustration und Wut, lässt aber bewusst Raum für Melancholie und Tiefe. Dunkel, ehrlich, nah.

Live ist Squat Box keine Show, sondern Begegnung: Schweiß, Energie, Nähe. Keine Distanz, keine Fassade – nur das, was im Moment passiert.

Squat Box – this is noise with a heartbeat. Three people from Munich tearing everyday life apart and rebuilding it as music. Raw, heavy, sometimes dreamy, sometimes on the edge of collapse.

Scraping guitars, a bass pushing straight forward and uncompromising drums shape songs that dig in deep, catch their breath and suddenly explode. Grunge, post-punk and alternative collide without committing to fixed boundaries – driven by instinct rather than genre.

Squat Box emerged from the underground: a tunnel beneath the city. Walls covered in graffiti, stale air, rough and worn concrete underfoot. A place where nothing shines – the perfect environment for a sound that refuses detours. DIY from the start, direct and unfiltered.

Their music works as a release valve for pressure, frustration and anger, while always leaving space for melancholy and depth. Dark, honest, close.
